Whirlwind of doctors this week...

So yesterday was the 9 month neurology appointment. Once more I grilled him for the "what happened" answer and once more he smiled and told me all he/we could do is guess- we won't ever know. Neuro man assured me it probably wasn't genetic, that they were really only concerned about it being a metabolic issue and since that checked out, I shouldn't worry.

I love how they tell me not to worry.

He was impressed with Noah. He repeated over and over that he wasn't worried and assumes he will be fine. He even said he thinks he will be walking by the next appointment in November and then we will be done with him, hopefully forever.

Light at the end of the tunnel perhaps? Did we dodge a bullet?..... I am hopeful.

Those doctors are always changing their tunes. I would put off the MMR as long as possible as well. That one is the one that has the biggest side-effects--especially with kids who have nuerological issues. I am, of course, assuming that Noah will never have another problem, but if it were me. . .I'd put that one off til the end as well.

That being said, Charlie has had one round of the MMR and it didn't kill him. He did develop epilepsy, but we were at risk for that anyway. If you read in the comments on my vaccine post you can read about what happened to my aunt's sister after the MMR. She actually earned a lifetime award from the government due ot vaccine damage. Scary stuff.
