was it really 10 years ago???

I will be 28 on Sunday. I can do the math. I have been an adult "legally" for almost 10 years. 10 years ago I was about to turn 18. On my 18th birthday I used a fake i.d., got wasted, and subsequently kicked out of a bar. Was that really that long ago? Gaahh...it seems like yesterday and in a way it seems like forever ago. Hell...I was just thinking that for my birthday 2 years ago my hubby and I went for a romantic getaway, the last of it's kind for awhile. We were trying to conceive Noah and I had my clear blue easy fertility sticks packed away with my bikini. Life appears to be on speed dial. This year there will be no getting kicked out of bars or romantic getaways. The big plan for Sunday is to drop Noah off with my parents, spend the day shopping with my hubby, then dinner and cake at my favorite Mexican Restaurant ( you bet I will be having my fill of margaritas) . Simple and ordinary which is how I prefer things these days.

All joking aside, I am really feeling very sentimental lately about life passing me by. Truth be told I am aging, which is inevitable, and in a way very surreal.  My 20's which were a whirlwind in itself are nearing an end. My youth and all it's carefree goodness is a thing of the past. What will my 30's bring? My high school reunion is nearing at the end of this year. So what else is there left to do before I officially leave the 20's behind....Party like it's 1999 of course!!!!
