P's & Q's

I have a truck driver mouth and I am not proud of it!
Growing up my parents never really used curse words, however my best friends parents cursed like sailors and so did their kids. I am not sure if I was the countless moments I spent at their house or just my own preference for self expression but I picked cursing up like a bad virus...and now as an adult I can't seem to stop.
I can control my mouth in public. For the most part I don't drop the F bomb lightly....but when I am mad and spirited and hot tempered, yikes.
Since having Noah I knew it would only be a matter of time before he started repeating...everything.  This might sound completely insane but there are times when I want him to repeat anything and everything just to validate his "normalness" ( o.k. that is so selfish of me to admit!)
Last night, out of no where, Noah starting proclaiming " Fah Fah FAAAAH". To translate, Noah calls Trucks "Trah", and Ducks " Dah"...so going by that pattern, Fah would be no other words except Fuck.
Ut Oh
We used planned ignore, everytime he said it, we didn't react. He upped the anti a few times, laughing and YELLING it but after he didn't get a reaction, he stopped.
It's time for some soap in Mommy's mouth!

seriously... be careful. my husband drops the F-bomb like crazy when he's mad (me, too, but to a lesser extent)... he always said that Adam didn't understand. Well... for a few months now, when Adam's annoyed he says "F*$K IT", in context, totally serious. We now say "FORGET IT" when he says it.... hoping that he'll think that he said the wrong word before. It as funny at first but now we're terrified he'll say it in public!

Pia, this made me smile only because I have a potty mouth, too sometimes. A few weeks ago, Dave said "Shit!" really loudly, and Sabrina said "WHAT did you say?" at which point I piped in, "Daddy told me to "SIT down!"

I would just about die with excitement, though, if Max ever came out and said F- you. Because it would mean he COULD say it!!!
