Last night I was driving home from my parents after we got about 12 inches of snow the day before. I was almost home, driving down a long country rode. The roads were pretty bad and covered in snow. The moon was glowing. There it was again, that peaceful, almost heaven-like feeling. I haven't had a moment like that in years so I made sure to soak it up. Of course then a bunch of cars started coming in the other lane and driving in the snow became scary again...but for a fleeting moment it was just me and nature.
We have been snowed in for days, and looks like we are getting about 6 more inches today. I live about 1hr 45 min north of NYC. Snow is a common thing here in the winter but usually not this early in the season. Although quite annoying at times, and a bit chilly, this storm has been a peaceful reminder to slow down and enjoy the ones you love. My husband and I have had a few really good days together and I am hoping this continues.
Noah had a fever of 102 last night so I think he is battling a virus. I put my first frantic weekend after hours call in to the pediatrician last night but all seems to be ok this morning. Hope my little man feels better by christmas!
